Re: Can't configure security for 5GHz
I tried with both browsers in Windows 10 and with smartphone android too but it give me always the same error. More now i discovered that, after power lost cause in my home because they took off electricity for overloads, my router lost all settings and was restored to factory defaults. I'd like to try to load old firmware 1.0.61 but i don't know how bz it doesn't allow me to downgrade. Thanks and have a nice day

Re: Can't configure security for 5GHz
I would install and try the Chrome browser. I've had the best luck with Chrome on Netgear devices. Is the passphrase you're setting at least 8 alpha / numeric characters in length?
You can download and manuall install older firmware from here;
https://www.netgear.com/support/product/D3600.aspx#Firmware
Just click the "Previous Versions" and you can select any one of the prior versions of firmware to download. Your user manual should explain how to manually install firmware for your device.

Re: Can't configure security for 5GHz
I have the same issue and it looks like there is bug in last firmware. Is not possible to upgrade router to older version via administration panel. Could somebody provide instructions for downgrade this model via TFTP or other method e.g. recovery mode ?

What happens when you try?
It is usually possible to "backflash" firmware. You just download the file, unzip it and manually flash the devbice.
Did you read the message from w3wilkes? (See above.) If it doesn't work, explain what happens when you try it.
It may help to "factory reset" before and after the flash.
As w3wilkes says, the manual can help. Find it here:

Re: Can't configure security for 5GHz
Each attempt of downgrade ends with follwoing message: "Firmware Upgrade Failed.Please Check your File". I tried different versions e.g. D3600-V1.0.0.61_1.0.1.bin or D3600-V1.0.0.47_1.0.1.bin. Could someone provide manual how to enter router to recovery mode where I could try to restore firmware to old version ? Maybe is way to enforce upgrade to old version ?
