Hi,
I have read the kb article:
http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/24046/~/how-do-i-configure-port-forwarding-on-routers-...
This shows the Netgear Genie interface allowing the mapping of an external port to a different internal port. I wish to direct port 80 of my public IP address to forward to port 5000 of my internal network IP 192.168.0.5. (External_IP:80 forward to 192.168.0.5:5000) On my D6200 the option to forward an external port to a different internal port is not visible as show in the KB example. I can only see Start Port and End Port when adding a custom service.

Judging from the manual, I believe the D6200 doesn't have ability to translate an external port to a different internal port.

Re: D6200 Port Forward Help
Ah man... what garbage. Software crippled! It was not cheap either. Kinda false advertising in that KB article hey. It uses the genie interface.
Looks like upgrade time 😞

Re: D6200 Port Forward Help
What feature is the manual am I looking for when buying a new router to ensure the internal/external translation function works?

Re: D6200 Port Forward Help
It's still port forwarding. You just have to make sure that it supports the ability to uncheck the button to use the same internal and external ports.
