D7000v2 Firmware D7000v2-V1.0.0.40_1.0.1.chk Question
Two questions for Netgear...
1- In the section where it requests the device model number the D7000v2 is not there??
2- You've posted an updated version from the initial D7000v2-v1.0.0.38.1.0.1.chk. There's no indication other than "security function enhancement" as to what this is for. Would it be possible to get a more complete description of what this means. I know there was an issue with stealth ports in the .38 version along with some other issues.
Lastly, I've recently seen on these boards on other devices that when users have updated (with Netgear the term "upgraded" seems to be a crap shoot) firmware, the new firmware would not allow a rollback if the new firmware had more issues than what was updated from. Will this new .40 firmware allow rollback to .38 if we find it worse than the .38 firmware?

Really? I have never seen anything suggesting that it is impossible to roll back.
There are times when Netgear pulls firmware because it doesn't want people using something that was such a disaster that it should never have been allowed out. But if you keep a library of old firmware, you should be able to get back to whichever version takes your fancy.

Thought I'd seen more like this, but can't find them right now.
And yes, I keep my own copies of all Firmware versions for my devices.
