D7800 Nighthawk X4S AC2600 WiFi Router VDSL/ADSL Modem router, corrupt firmware
Hello People total noob at any networking type stuff so any help would be epic.
So modem is working sweet as usual, then latr in to arvo few days ago flashing white light, quick search apparently its corrupt firmware. Now I didnt even update to firmware, why is it all of a sudden corrupt. Ive gone onto netgears support to download the newest firmware, and that comes up with disc image corrupt. Is there any other options to fix the issue or should I hit it with a dropsaw

Eh? Can you provide an English translation of that?

_Which_ "light"?
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number,
and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read. Look for the
LED descriptions and "Troubleshoot".

Which was what, exactly? And then you did what, exactly?

"comes up with"? When you did what, exactly?

Hard to say, based on your "description" of "the issue", but if the
Power indicator on the router is flashing, then you may be a candidate
for the TFTP recovery scheme. See, for example:

The power light flashes white.
Downloaded the firmware which was a zip, extracted it and it comes up with disc image corrupt.
With TFTP the box was un ticked, when l ticked the box is that it anything else need be done.
On netgear support cant find anything to answer my problem

Ok. Then I'd try the TFTP recovery scheme, as suggested before.

Which "the firmware"? The file has a name, yes?

Still wondering.
