D7800 constantly losing internet connection
Bought the X4S D7800 modem brand new few months ago everything was ok until now.
The DSL/internet light is off and I have no internet connection both wired and wifi. I have to turn my modem on and off and then it is ok for an hour or so before the light is off again and I have no internet connection.
I have plugged in the modem I was using prior and the modem did not loose connection once so the problem is with the D7800.
Running Router Firmware Version V1.0.1.16 and windows 10
Can anyone help?

Re: D7800 constantly losing internet connection
First thing to try when troubleshooting is to reset the device to the factory settings.

That isn't the point about the factory reset. Settings can become messed up for various reasons. For example, a local power cut may have provoked a series of events that scrambled the configure files on the device.
If you haven't done anything since you bought the thing, there is also a possibility that Netgear has released a firmware update that fixes bugs, and added features that could prevent the fault you see.
Since this modem arrived, there have been six new firmware releases.
The manual will tell you how to go about an update.
