[DGN3500B] 802.1x on LAN
Hello folks,
I want to authenticate my Netgear DGN3500B on the LAN port with 802.1x. Is this possible with the stock firmware?

Re: [DGN3500B] 802.1x on LAN
In other words I want to authenticate with this wpa_supplicant configuration:
# wpa_supplicant mit EAP-PEAP ##################################
ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
eapol_version=1
ap_scan=0
fast_reauth=1
network={
key_mgmt=WPA-EAP
eap=PEAP
identity=""
password=""
ca_cert=""
phase2="auth=MSCHAPV2"
priority=10
}

First - to answer your question - as far as I'm aware - NO - 802.1x authentication is not offered on that model. It is an enterprise feature, not commonly found on residential equipment.
Second - you are specifying a wpa_supplicant - which, I believe is specific to WiFi and WPA (WiFi Protected Access) - whilst you can use 802.1x authentication on a wired LAN, it will not be done using the WPA_Supplicant.

Yes, it is very uncommon to do this on LAN. OpenWRT can do this. Do you know how to flash it? The uploader in the web interface doesnt like it 😞
