DGND3700-Connection lost when external HDD is connected to modem
Hi, I have been using DGND3700 Modem-Router for a while and recently it loses connection with all connected devices when external HDD is connected to the modem. Had to powercyle the modem to get connected. External HDD has a power supply so I can switch off/on when needed. When it is on, modem freezes after 30mins and I am unable to connect any device. help needed!

Do you get the same result when using the other USB port?
What external drive & chassis are you using?
Does it have it's own power supply or is it powered from the router?
Which firmware are you using?

Re: DGND3700-Connection lost when external HDD is connected to modem
Hi, I sent an email to the Technical Support regarding this issue, and got a reply saying that I need to upgrade to the latest Firmware, which I did and now the DSL light won't stop flashing. I tried hard reset many times and tried to re-configure the settings. The DSL light keeps flashing even-though there is no DSL line connected to the modem.
I called the Technical Support and was told that there is a known issue with the version 1.0.0.17 firmware, hence they are going to send me the previous version 1.0.0.12 to downgrade the firmaware.
I was also told that they working on a fix for this issue with firmware upgrade version 1.0.0.17.
PLEASE DO NOT DO FIRMWARE UPGRADE TO V1.0.0.17.

Re: DGND3700-Connection lost when external HDD is connected to modem
With due respect, there are generally fewer issues with v1.0.0.17 than v1.0.0.12.
Try to get hold of a copy of the latest beta firmware v1.0.0.20.
