New setup DM 200 Modem and Nighthawk R7000, the ISP's DNS is not being forwarded on the network.
Set DNS in the R7000, still not correct (DNS is pointing to the Nighthawk's IP)
tried the modem in Modem & Router and Modem only modes - no difference!
ISP is Movistar (Spain) [was telefonica]

The Nighthawk will always advertise its own address as the DNS server. The Nighthawk will forward DNS queries to the real DNS server.
Netgear likes their routers to be DNS relays. Unfortunately, there's no way to disable this. If you want to change this behavior, please click on the upvote button here.
