Impossible to open port 80 in my d8000.
I recevied this message trying to open port 80 in my router netgear. "The specified port(s) are being used by other configurations. Please check your configurations of USB Readyshare, Remote Management, Port forwarding, Port Triggering, UPnP Port Mapping table, RIP, and Internet connection type".
It seems that there is another device that has the port open!
How can i solve this problem?!?
Thanks

Re: Impossible to open port 80 in my d8000.
As the error message says, probably one of the internal services that is enabled on the router is using Port 80 on the router.
Check if any of the following services is using port 80:
ADVANCED > USB Storage > Advanced Settings
ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > Remote Management
ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > UPnP
If you cannot find that, try http://your-wan-ip-address/ from your phone (NOTconnected to WIFI) and see what service is using the port 80.
you can find "your-wan-ip-address" from the Advanced tab > Internet Port > IP Address

Re: Impossible to open port 80 in my d8000.
The problem is in USB Storage. I see the http protocol with port 80 only while the page is loading. Then I see only the ftp protocol and I can change only that number of port! How can I solve this problem?? I don't know how..
Thank a lot

Re: Impossible to open port 80 in my d8000.
Is your product an R8000 or D8000 - I guess D6000?
Assuming you have UPNP turned off on the router and HTTP for readyshare (which really does not matter as it is only internal and available on R8000 only) turned off (unchecked) as well...
Do you have any other portforwarding enabled? Make sure port 80 is not used by any other service.
Are you adding it as a "Custom Service" or are you using the HTTP service from the drop down list?
I would first try the HTTP from the drop down and simply point to the IP. If that does not work, try the custom option.
If you can confirm all the above and still have a problem, I would make sure you to upgrade to a latest firmware if a newer one is available - it could have been one of those pesky bugs that was fixed in the newer versions.
Hope this helps.

Re: Impossible to open port 80 in my d8000.
In the D6000 with factory reset this not work.
Port 80 is blocked by an other service (Is it the readyshare ? ). I can't turn off it because I don't see the configuration (for the port 80).

Re: Impossible to open port 80 in my d8000.
Hello everyone
sorry to say port 80 is reserved for WEB GUI - http server, it cannot be used for port forwarding function. All NETGEAR products are using port 80 for http server.
