Losing internet connection when playing online games

I have come across this issue recently when I switched to the d6000 netgear Modem router, it seemed that everytime I play online games, I lose my internet connection and it happens frequently which is very frustrating since it did not happen when I had my old modem. Even if I am not playing games, on a daily basis my interent would drop at least 5 times.

Is this a wired or wifi connection to the D6000?

What happens when the internet drops? What do the LEDs on the thing look like?

This is wifi connection to the D600 and when it drops, sometimes both adsl and internet lights are down or only the internet light is blinking.

From your earlier comments, it doesn't seem to be games related. The internet connection just dies on you, games or no games.

Which firmware do you have on the D6000?
