NBN upgrade DM200 is it an Intel chipset?

NBN upgrade DM200 is it an Intel chipset?

Received an email about this and would like to know if it is going to affect the DM200. I couldn't find any info if it has an Intel chipset and trying to reach Netgear but without success.

AAPT wishes to advise that nbn™ is implementing a SOS (Save our Showtime) and ROC (Robust Overhead Channel) upgrade of VDSL2 (FTTN/FTTB) services (SOS/ROC Upgrade). The purpose of the upgrade is to prevent dropouts due to sudden large noise bursts, thereby improving service stability. The SOS/ROC Upgrade is expected to commence on 1 July 2021.

How Does This Affect You?

The SOS/ROC Upgrade will affect customers who have deployed Metanoia or Intel chip set devices. nbn™ advises that Metanoia and Intel chip set devices will be affected as follows:

  • Metanoia SFP devices will fail to negotiate and cause a hard down outage; and
  • Intel chip set devices will become unstable, causing a higher percentage of dropouts and service instability.

Looks like it uses a Lantiq cpu.

which was aquired by intel in 2015 and tehn sold to Maxlinear in 2020.

Will it impact your device? you might just have to wait and find out. Sorry
