NETGEAR AC2600 Nighthawk X4S (D7800) - Remote access seems to be missing in new firmware
Hi,
I updated to a new version of firmware for the NETGEAR AC2600 Nighthawk X4S (D7800).
But I can not find the place to enable Remote Access. It used to be here ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > Remote Management
But now it is not there anymore - see attached screenshot
Any idea how to resolve this?
Thanks

Try:
ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > Web Services Management

Is that enabled?
It may be some time before the images land. To ensure that you aren't posting anything naughty, a Netgear moderator has to approve the pictures.
You can attach images to messages without any delay.

I did enable it but it did not offer any other options.
I really need to access my routers remotely - I can't understand how Netgear can just remove a important feauture like that?
Here is the screenshot as an attachment

I found that enabling that screwed things up. I turned it off.
Sadly, features come and go as Netgear deletes free stuff that matters to people and replaces it with things it can sell to gullible punters. Think Circle and Armor.
My first move would be to reinstall the firmware that works.
If you worry about your network's security, those updates can be misleading. they talk about "security issues" that appear in labs but have not been observed in the real world.
In this case, a few propeller heads insist that everything they do on a router has to be with an https link, regardless of the fact that it is a local connection. It may be that implementing that has broken the feature that you want to use.
