NOT CONNECT

I cannot seem to get my modem to connect to the internet, after going thru  the wizard   it still tells me there is no internet and the internet light never lights up. i have  A WINDSTREAM MODEM THAT WORKS BUT I do not want to pay 130 a year for it. I have a ADSL2 + modem DM111PSP v2 and the last one i had worked great.

   And manually?

So, your "my modem" is a DM111PSPv2?

   Connected to what?

What about the others?  In particular, what about the DSL light?

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual (at least).  Read.  Look for the
LED descriptions and "Troubleshoot".

Has it a maker and model number?

What level of service are you getting from Windstream?

   I can't.

Re: NOT CONNECT

Did you contact your ISP and tell them you were putting a 3rd party modem on their network.  Typically, you will have to let them know and they will add the modem to the network so it will work for you.

Perhaps for a cable-TV ISP; not for DSL.  Did you read that
Windstream web page cited above?

Re: NOT CONNECT

The DM111PSP is an old (2011) ADSL modem.

This search suggests that there are various flavours of WINDSTREAM.

Search - NETGEAR Communities – WINDSTREAM DM111PSP

I see references to ADSL, VDSL and bonded DSL. The DM111PSP works only on ADSL, a steadily dying technology in many countries.

I have never seen that required for DSL Internet services.
