Netgear D6000 AC750 Wired LAN Issues

Hello,

I have a AC750 D6000 router I use to connect to the Fixed Wireless NBN service (Australia).

I am writing here, as I am unable to register the product on your website, even though it was purchased last month. Serial number is being entered exactly as on the base of the unit.

Internet connection is fine, as is the WiFi, with download speeds of 22 Mbps of the stated 25 Mbps (which we are very happy with).

The wired LAN conenction was the same performance until about a week ago, when speeds dropped to almost 0 and frequent dropouts occuring. Also, email with attachments would not send when connected to wired LAN (fine with WiFi).

Speed tets show a general initial spike of maybe 6-10 Mbps, which then rapidly tapers off to around 1 Mbps, and usually drops out before the test is completed. Upload speeds usually seem OK.

I have factory reset the router to no avail. I have removed all other devices and isolated the router, with only 1 PC attached and still performs 'normal' on WiFi, but slow/nothing on wired LAN.

This exact thing occurs on 4 different computers also, all with different hardware, OS and configurations, so it is not a PC issue.

I have read many forums about some Netgear products having issues with bad ethernet ports and am wondering could this be the cause of the issue?

Please provide any assistance,

Nick.

Anybody? I'm going to have to RMA the unit if no solution can be given.

Hello CleanProTech

I would suggest contacting Netgear support so they can do some more troubleshooting and RMA if needed.

Ok. As said, the device will not be recognised on the automated support system. It says it is not a valid serial number. It is being enetred correctly.

Do I have to phone the support line?
