New D7000 owner... where is the firewall menu?
Hello,
I am a new D7000 owner, I bought the D700 to replace an ECI Modem and DSL router provided by PlusNet in the UK. It's working OK but I can't get my port forwarding setup correctly. I am trying to terminate an IPSEC VPN on a Cisco firewall sitting behind the router.I understand that I need to forward IP protocol 50 and possibly 51 to the Cisco firewall as well as setting up a rule for UDP port 500.
In the port forwarding menu I see the option for adding a rule for UDP port 500, however I see no way of adding IP protocol 50 or 51. Can Netgear help me resolve this?

Re: New D7000 owner... where is the firewall menu?
Older Netgear routers used to have VPN Passthrough settings for allowing IPSec, PPTP and L2TP packets through. These settings have been removed. VPN Passthrough should be enabled by default, so you should not need to do anything.

Re: New D7000 owner... where is the firewall menu?
Thanks for the reply TheEther
Unfortunately I can't seem to get this to work. It works within my LAN, but not from outside. As far as I can tell the ASA isn't even seeing the IKEV1/IPSEC packets when they're coming in from the WAN so it appears to be a port-forwarding issue or similar. I get the same result even when I stick the ASA in the D7000's DMZ. I might have to return the D7000.
