For anyone that is using this modem/router and going to Utopia fiber (FTTH) and XMission ISP the DGND3700v1 with this custom 3rd party firmware works just fine. You will need to change the setting Advanced> Setup>WAN Setup to Must use Ethernet WAN and change the MTU size to 1500. Then in Advanced>Setup>Internet Setup change the Does your Internet connection require a login? to NO. The ISP tech told me this is the first time he's seen a combo modem/router successfully connect.

Yes I would like to know also. Orphaned for 2 years and this device has been listed as having known vulnerability which Netgear will not fix so need to upgrade to new modem/router ASAP.

I contacted the developer and he says the vulnrability from outside has been mitigated with the latest version of this custom firmware. There are some known vulnerabilities from inside your network, but should not be an issue if you know/trust devices on your network.
