Nighthawk AC1900 (D7000v2) needs rebooting every hour! Why?
Hi there
I purchased the Nighthawk AC1900 WiFi VDSL/ADSL (D7000v2) router in January 2020 from JB Hifi in Sydney. I am on ADSL2+ (all that is available where I life in South Sydney) with Belong and am very close to the exchange.
Around 2pm every day all devices connected to the router lose connection and the router (despite being on) is not able to be found by any devices until turned off and turned on again. As we are two people now working from home, there are around 5 devices (2 mobile phones and 3 desk/laptops) connecting to the router. 3 devices are close-by (around 2 metres from the routes) and 2 are approx 8 metres from the router.
After 1 or 2pm when the first dropout happens, we need to reset/reboot the router around 5-8 times from 2pm-6pm every day.
Any ideas why this is happening? Or anything we can do to do a full reset on the router? Or is a particular channel helpful?
To be clear, we think it is a router issue and not an internet issue as the router is not able to be found by any device when the wifi drops out and as soon as we reboot, the actual connection to the internet is live again (albeit for a very short time).
Many thanks

What specific version is your firmware? The latest can be found here

Do you have a ISP provided modem/router that you can use and does it also fail during this window? If the ISP device works fine, I'd say the problem is with the D7000v2 and is probably firmware related.
