Nighthawk X4S D7800 Can't recognize ac wireless on Windows 10
I have a D7800 and an Asus PCE-AC68 Network adaptor. Running Windows 10 pro 64 bit on Asus Sabretooth 990FX ver 2 M'board. All up to date with bios and firmware. Windows only recognizes the modem as wireless N and I can't get more than 450Mbps @40Mhz on 5G. 5G is running on channel 153 but has also ran on channel 161 both at 40Mhz. Netgear support has been useless. I've had nothing but Netgear since before time began and this is my first prob. Can anyone help?????

Hello raafadgie
Do you happen to have any other devices connect via wireless that use 802.11n?

I have an LG TV and Blu Ray recorder that I use with LG Smartshare if that helps. I also have a Samsung Multifunction Color Laser that I used to have on wireless but changed to USB because of connection problems.

Hello raadafgie
Have you tried to connect the device to the 5ghz and have nothing else connected to that band to see if it is still getting N speeds.
