Nighthawk X4S D7800X4S D7800
Hi
Been having connection problems with this router so decided to go into the router login and update the firmware to see if that solved the issue.
When I clicked on the buttons I eventually got this message even trying to sign in from different devices.
The CGI script took too long to produce a response
and no firmware update.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Stephen

Can you actually login to the router?
If so, this is the safest and most reliable way to update the firmware:

If you have problems with that, explain what this bit means:

What are these "connection problems"?
The D7800 is a DSL modem/router.
While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
DSL Modems & Routers
You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.

Re: Nighthawk X4S D7800X4S D7800
What firmware version are you on?
Did you try accessing it using the ip address?
Is the D7800 being used as a dsl modem or do you have a different gateway supplying it?
What actual issue are you having that made you think you needed a firmware update? (details are key)
