Registration issues D7000 Netgear genie
My modem is registered thru My Netgear account and validated shows up in the account. I use Netgear Genie on desktop at home works fine. Go thru routerlogin and works fine for access. I try to go under Remote access on the Netgear genie and it states to register so I do the register and then states already registered by another account. Confirmed the Login and password are the same. Firmware all up to date and rebooted router twice with no change. Also trying to set the Remote access thru the mobile app and same result already registered by another account. What next?

Re: Registration issues D7000 Netgear genie
Have you actually setup the D7000 to allow remote access? You must do that before asking the genie to use remote access.
There is a manual for the D7000 somewhere at the end of this link:
>>> D7000 | Product | Support | NETGEAR <<<
See the section Manage the Modem Router Remotely.
By the way, you have posted your message in the section of this community given over to
Nighthawk WiFi Routers. (This is easily done, given Netgear's impenetrable community structure.)
Your device is a DSL Modem/Router. You might get better replies, and find other answers, over in the appropriate section:

Re: Registration issues D7000 Netgear genie
I got the name right off the routers tag NightHawk so that's why I put it into that column.
Any way I did go thru the router manual and check and follow the remote access process. I did in the past have remote working but I'm leaning towards a firmware update that changed this.
The Readyshare is now called ReadyCloud I did validate the ReadyCloud account and when I put in the ID and password in the router it will not connect so this also has stopped for I use to get connected to my drive on the router remotely.

These are two different things.
ReadySHARE is the top layer thing that has ReadyCLOUD as a cloud service attached.
ReadySHAREis the thing that lets you plug US storage into the router.
As it says in the control interface ReadyCLOUD
(Allows you to access ReadySHARE Storage from anywhere.)
I'm afraid I don't follow what you have done, so can't say much more.

Nighthawk is a brand thing. Netgear uses it for modem/routers, routers, range extenders, switches, you name it.
You have a modem/router. You have posted in the router section.

Re: Registration issues D7000 Netgear genie
With the ready cloud section in the router webpage (see attached picture) when I go to register it states "registration failed". I go to the readycloud website and it will not identify the router. I rechecked that the D7000 is on the list of compatible routers.
Now here is a twist I recently got a new phone and with the genie app Remote access is OFF and when I try to turn it ON I get the message Router is already registered to another account. I turn on the OLD phone and Remote access is ON.
