Unable to connect Netgear switch to D7000 AC1900
Hi, any comments would be appreciated. I am changing out my existing Router + BT Modem which has attached to it the 16 port FS116 which has worked OK for years. I have connected up the internet, passwords etc working fine. I can access the internet when I attach a PC direct without going through the switch - all lights blue, however any device connected via the swith will not connect - light on switch RJ45 lead to AC1900 glows amber. I have done latest upgrade, changed leads etc but to no avail. Any suggestions please

Assuming that everything is properly wired up, have you done a complete reboot of the whole network to force everything to forget the old IP address allocations?
At the moment I am constantly switching between one router and another, feeding into a 16-port switch and it all works seamlessly.

That "direct" means direct to the D7000?

White?

What, exactly, does "will not connect" mean? As usual, showing
actual actions with their actual results (error messages, LED
indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or
interpretations.
That would include LED indicators on your (unspecified) "a PC" and
the FS116.

The FS116 is a 10/100MHz switch, so, as the D7000 User Manual
explains, this would be expected.
> [...] I have done latest upgrade, [...]
An actual version number would be more useful than your opinion of
what the "latest" is (today). But that's unlikely to matter.

I doubt that IP addresses would matter, but I would wonder if your
(unspecified) "a PC" renegotiated its link speed when it got moved from
a gigabit (1000MHz) port on the D7000 to a 100MHz port on the FS116.
Restarting the PC might be worth a try.
