Unable to port forward, default profile is priority???
Hi,
I've been trying to port forward for a while now but the D6300 doesn't want to open them at all.
It appears that the cause my be due to the default profile blocking them. There's no way to remove the default profile or disable it in favour of custom profiles...
I could be wrong but if that's not it then I'm not sure what's going on. I've followed the instructions you guys provide, still no luck.
No ports are opening even with DMZ enabled... What am I doing wrong here.
I've never had this issue before and I've used 3 different modems...
I have an NBN connection (ethernet) connection which this supports fine. My download speeds etc are fine, it's just that ports are being blocked for no reason at all.
EDIT:
It seems that DMZ works with Nat Filtering set to open and DIsable SIP ALG, though with it set to Secured and unticked... it doesn't work.
Though if I disable DMZ and those settings then it's port forwarded... though it won't last long it never does?
Also can't forward multiple IP addresses using the same ports?

What are you trying to forward to what, why? And how do you know who
wants to do what?
In my experience, people who talk about ports being "open" often
don't understand the problem. A port looks "closed" when there's no
server program (or device) listening at that port. All the port
forwarding in the world won't help you if, at the end of the line, no
one is listening at that port number.

What, exactly, does "the default profile" mean to you? And why are
you blaming it for anything (whatever it is)?

Which "the instructions"? Which "you guys"?

What, exactly, are you doing there?

What, exactly, are you trying to forward to what, exactly? (And
why?)
