What to enter for MAC address when installing DM200 modem
I am replacing an ancient Westell Versalink modem with a NetGear model DM200. The auto installation process stops at a screen "DHCP internet connection detected" with box to enter a MAC clone address. I use Verizon DSL and a Windows 10 laptop. Entering either of the two MAC addresses I found on my laptop (1. ethernet 2. WIFI) does not work. The install goes thru a quick scan followed by a full scan and then tells me that I do not have internet access. I have spent many hours trying to resove the issue so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: What to enter for MAC address when installing DM200 modem
Why do you need the Mac address? Is it tied to the ISP account?
Have you talked to the ISP about this? Maybe it is simply a case of getting them to reset it at their end.
The Mac address of the DM200 is on the back of the thing. Maybe you need to tell this modem to use the Mac address of the Westell Versalink modem.
There is a manual for the DM200 somewhere at the end of this link:
>>> DM200 | Product | Support | NETGEAR <<<
See page 20.
Just another user with a set of boilerplate macros.
My network DM200 -> MK93; R7800 -> GS316 -> PL1000 -> R7000P- Mark as New

Re: What to enter for MAC address when installing DM200 modem
Netgear Support was able to determine that the modem was not recognizing that the connection is PPPOE. The issue has been resolved.
