I have recently installed fiber internet and it came with its own fiber router (that does not have wifi capability). I am now trying to connect this to the netgear router dgn2200v3 softwere update .25 with an ethernet cable. The manual says to connect it to ethernet port 4, to use it as a WAN connection. The netgear port 4 light is on, but the router is not picking up the internet connection through port 4. there is also no settings I can find to tell the router that I am using port 4 as a WAN port. Any help is appreciated, my understanding is that this router should be able to serve as my wifi modem for my fiber connection

Re: dgn2200v3 connecting fibre via Lan 4 not working
Thank you Darren. I ended up buying a new router that had a dedicated WAN port.
