AC1900 D7000

WiFi router service interrupted when I start my treadmill belt; before that, WiFi works and has good download speed. Treadmill people had no idea. Various electricians had no idea. I have no idea.

You? Anyone?

D7000[v1] or D7000v2?  Look at the product label.  Firmware version?

Not a very detailed description of anything.  Is it
wireless-network-capable, or just a simple (computer-less) motor-driven
belt, or what?

Some types of electric motors can create considerable radio
interference.  Put an AM radio in the neighborhood, and tune it to no
station.  What does it do when you run the (unspecified) treadmill?

Adding a surge/noise suppressor in the treadmill power line might
help with that kind of problem.  Increase the physical separation?  Buy
a better treadmill?

Re: AC1900 D7000

My apologies for being insultingly vague.

The issue is—no matter the treadmill value—that the WiFi is interrupted when the belt is running. After a great deal of difficulty, I updated WiFi firmware but have yet to check if it makes any change. We had an earlier electrical issue that, I thought, was fixed and for a week I had excellent WiFi when treadmill was running. Then it stopped. I have tried noise suppressors, different WiFi router locations. Makes no difference. I suspect it is electrical noise; I just haven’t figured out how to address it.

But thanks for making my ignorance the central problem.

What does "the treadmill value" mean to you?  Some kind of speed
control on your (still unidentified) "my treadmill"?  Its price on the
used-exercise-equipment market?  Other?

Not much meat on that bone, either.

Look for "AM radio", above?  Or, continue to speculate.

One wonders, if the treadmill is the source of the interference, which certainly appears to be the case, WHAT might have been different for the week that it worked!?

I can only suggest that you force the router to use a different Wi-Fi channel and see it that helps. You should be on 1, 6, or 11.

FWIW my wife has an Alexa device playing music (via Wi-Fi of course) immediately adjacent to her treadmill's motor and electronics, and it works fine despite that it's out in the garage some distance from the Wi-Fi source.

Hey! I have this problem too. I have tried various tricks but nothing seems to work. Can you please provide any good tips if you found any?. I bought my treadmill from here.
