I am considering purchasing the D7000 but from what I can gather it only has the capability of using no-ip and DynDNS for dynamic DNS.
On a high end router like this there should be the option to enter a custom / advanced dynamic DNS service. On my current router I have this facility which allows me to provide updates direct to my domain registrar. I'd rather not be handcuffed to either of the partnered commercial / sponsored services which at present rules out the D7000 for me.
Are there any plans to open this up in a future firmware update?

Hello ittroll
There is nothing known about this being implemented in the future but it is a great suggestion I would say post this over in our Idea exchange board our engineers look there for ideas to add to products.
