Any updates on Krack vulnerability for Nighthawk D7000

Could anyone provide any updates on the status of resolving/updating Nighthawk D7000 Router KRACK security vulnerability fixes?

Has anyone from NetGear said anything about updating to the latest firmware for your device??  I'm sure if you do that you will be okay, however, it would be nice to get a confirmation from NetGear admins on this....perhaps the firmware release notes say something about this.

This is a good question though.  Please let us know what you find out....I'm new too.

Netgear updated is advisory on this at the beginning iof the week:

Remember, the D7000 is not vulnerable if it is in standard router mode. It has to be a bridge.

I just wish they would patch it like Apple has done to their now discontinued Airport line
Of WiFi devices.
They should update it, or not release features such as bridge mode, which won’t be patched when major security issues are found

Apple updated their firmware and they don’t even make them anymore.
Why can’t NetGear update their line of products that they are continuing to make and are being used by countless customers

It’s not like they have not had enough requests from users for this issue
