Keep in mind that only after reset of factory settings it's working again, seem to me like a bug. If it was channels I assume that I would not need to reset to factory settings

Hello shachr

Have tried to adjust the wireless channel settings in the wireless settings some other wifi in the area or home appliances in could be causing the drops of your wireless network.

Hey Darren,
I tried to change the channels , so far nothing helped, I don't mind trying again, I can look at the settings of my previous Netgear router , it used to work perfectly.

Re: Brand new D7000 disconnects WAN attached devices after few hours

I have no idea if it's the same bug, but for the last couple of weeks I've had a problem with my D7000 where it periodically loses WiFi.  The WiFi network simply stops, both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz.  The WiFi lights turn off.  I can still access the internet on my desktop, which is connected via ethernet cable, but that all I can do.

The only way to restore WiFi is to do a total reset of the D7000.  A simple power down does no good.  My D7000 is only a little over a year old, so out of warranty.  I'd rather not have to pay Netgear to tell me what is wrong with their D7000.

So if anyone has any idea what's going on, I'd love to hear about it!  If I end up having to spend money for a new DSL modem/router, after having had thia for only about a year, it'll likely NOT be another Netgear product.

Re: Brand new D7000 disconnects WAN attached devices after few hours

So far I've had some luck by changing settings for the wifi channels.  I switched both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz from "auto select" to specific channels.  For the last few days at least, there have been no problems with my D7000 losing wifi.

My router is not configured to auto select.
