Re: Broadband ADSL 2 Modem
I think Centurylink only lists modems that they've personally tested. The list does not show any Netgear xDSL type devices. I'm using a Netgear xDSL device on both an ADSL2 and also on a VDSL Centurylink line. On the VDSL I'm using a DGND3700v1 with custom firmware that supports VDSL. For ADSL2 the Netgear devices I've used will work with Centurylink ADSL2 right out of the box. The hardware for the DGND3700v1 is VDSL capable, but Netgear pulled VDSL support from the original firmware (why, only Netgear can answer that question). The DGND3700v1 is identical hardware to the DGND3800B that is the Netgear product that was configured for VDSL in Germany.
