I'd go in and forget the network on your devices. maybe its auto-filling it even after entering.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Look for "Types of logins".

_What_ "asked for the new password"? Why/when? What were you doing?
If you get desperate, then do a settings reset, and set all of them
again. Look for "reset" in the User Manual. Keep reading.
