Can I install ExpressVPN firmware on my modem?
Is it better to buy a Netgear VPN modem or install ExpressVPN firmware if available?
Does Netgear VPN modem models R7800, R7000P have ExpressVPN installed
already?

Re: Can I install ExpressVPN firmware on my modem?
Modem routers are generally less flexible when it comes to VPNs. Some require special firmware. In the case of cable modems, like the C7000 in our footer, this is even harder because only the Internet service provider can change your firmware.
If you need more help, you might get better and quicker replies, and find other answers, over in the appropriate section for your device. That's probably here:

With ExpressVPN built in. If I piggyback this router with my old C7000 Netgear router through Ethernet cable, after conf will all my devices go through with the new IP address
Or do you have to assign. Want everything to go through VPN. Also is VPN turned on 24/7 or you can turn off?

If you put the c7000 in bridge mode and run the r7000 as the only router, everything would go through the vpn. If you leave the c7000 as a modem/router combo device and run the r7000 as a router as well, it'll put you in a double nat and potentially could cause issues but potentially you could use the device going through the r7000 as vpn and the rest of the devices hooked to the c7000 as standard.
Gets a bet complicated when you're running 2 routers with one of them as a vpn.

Is that accurate? Not "C7000v2"? Look for "Model" on the product
label.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number,
and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read. Look for
"Cable Your Modem Router to a Router and Use Bridge Mode" (C7000) or
"Connect Your Modem Router to a Router After Installation and
Activation" (C7000v2). Further reading might not hurt, either.
