Can’t connect repeater
Hello ,
I have one slot for the internet coming out of the wall in my room , that’s directly connected to the repeater that i showed in the file below , this repeater doesn’t have a power plug , it takes its power from the ethernet cable , and i want to connect my laptop with ethernet cable , so i bought the gigabit switch , and plugged the ethernet cable from the wall to it and from it to the repeater and my laptop , my laptop has internet perfectly but the repeater is not powering up , i don’t understand why , it only powers up if i plug it in the wall and not the switch .
Can anyone help please 😞 .
Thank you !

Re: Can’t connect repeater
So the repeater needs something to supply power to it.
when you place a switch in line, the repeater doesn't get power so it can't power on.
therefore a switch that supports/supplies power over ethernet (with enough to power the repeater) theoretically should work. Provided who's ever supplying that repeater with power/internet allows it.
