"Can't" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions with their actual results (error messages, LED
indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or
interpretations.

What about them?
Does the router recover if you cycle its power? Does it fail
repeatedly? LED indicators? Assuming that you're using some kind of
computer, does it have a wired or wireless connection to the router?
Any useful information at all might help.

Re: Can't log in my router with laptop
After initial setup, will let me log back in to router settings or anything else for that matter.
WiFi is working but would like to look in the genie app, change things, etc.

Did you find this?
If you cannot login to your router | Answer | NETGEAR Support
...would like to look in the genie app, change things, etc.
Which genie is this? Desktop> Android? Something else?

Ok. Firmware version?

Did you mean "will _not_"?
"will not" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions with their actual results (error messages, LED
indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or
interpretations.
Which part of that was unclear the first time?
What, exactly, does "initial setup" mean to you? What, exactly, did
you do? How, exactly, does what, exactly, fail?

What, exactly, does "the genie app" mean to you? Ever helpful,
Netgear uses the name "Genie" for more than one thing. Netgear routers
have a web-browser interface called "Genie", and Netgear offers
application programs for various computers/pads/phones, which are also
called "Genie".
Presumably, you started with the web-browser interface. Are you
trying to do more with that, or are you trying to use one of the Genie
apps? (And, if so, then which Genie app?)
