CanCan this modem router be used as for wiFi purposes and the modem bypasses., Windstream High Speed

Just had Windstream install a High Speed Modem and WiFi, Model T3200 Gateway, 25 MBPS. Can I still use my Nighthawk AC1900 WiFi

VDSL/ADSL Modem Router. If so I can seem to hook them togeter so my WIFi is coming off my Nighthawk. Winstream Tech would not help in getting both to work. Was not their responsibility. So does anyone know how and if this will work. The Windstream WiFi is not as good as the Netgear Nighthawk.

   Not a D7000v2?  Firmware version?

As what?  Door stop?  Router?  Wireless access point?

"seem"?  What, exactly, are you trying to accomplish?  Do you want to
disable the wireless-network features of the T3200, or keep them, and
add the D7000v1 to extend its wireless-network coverage, or what?

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Look for "Use the Modem Router
as a WiFi Access Point".

Elaborate "not as good".  How is the T3200 better than the D7000v1?

Mine is a D7000 V2, Firmware Verson

Why?  the Actiontec T3200 Gateway supplied by Windstream, They upped our Internet Sp[eed from 12 MPS to 25 MPS. The Windstrteam Technican supplied and hooked up the T3200 and took the Nighthawk out of the hook up. He advised me that was all he was allowed to do. So he could not hook up the D7000.

Door Stop? Funny

I could ask you some questions about building a high performance engine or building a car from the ground up and you would be just as lost OK.

What I am trying to determine is which Gateway to use, the T3200 or the D7000 Nighthawk, and If my D7000 can do a better job with WiFi coverage and speed. I have been running the T3200 stand alone Gateway and the WiFi coverage is not as good as the D7000 Nighthawk. So since I have both of these Gateways what is the best way to utilize them. I have my Netgear User Manual for the D7000 downloaded.

I realize I know just enough to barely get by on this subject, thats why I am seeking out some good advise. So thats were I am "antinode". Any suggestions would be appreciated , thanks.

   Did _you_ try it?

Then, unless I had some good reason not to, I might try to use the
D7000v2 instead of the T3200, and see if it can do the whole job by
itself.  You didn't say, but I'm guessing that you previously used the
D7000v2 that way, and were satisfied with it.

The "Netgear User Manual for" _which_ "D7000"?  The "[v1]" and "v2"
manuals differ, and there are more errors in the "v2" manual.

Still my advice on how to configure the D7000v2 to extend the
wireless-network coverage of the T3200.  Sadly, the D7000v2 User Manual
has a bunch of errors (too much copy+paste from the "[v1]" manual, I
assume), so you need to read it carefully.  For example, in that
particular section, it mentions "the red Internet port on the back panel
of the modem router", and the D7000v2 has no such "red Internet port",
but it does have a "LAN 4 / Ethernet WAN" port (which should work,
instead).

The less you know, the more important accurate, detailed descriptions
become.  For example, which D7000[vX] hardware variant you have, what
you were doing before getting this new T3200, how the D7000v2 was
working for you, and what your current goals are.  A question like "Can
I still use my Nighthawk [...]?" it tough to answer without any basic
information.  You got my best guess based on insufficient information
for using both gizmos together ("Wireless access point?") a week ago.
