Cannot install router
I cannot install this router on my desktop. I get an error No Ethernet Adapter.
I know it's old, my son-in-law gave it to me, and I would like to use it.
Contact me at hawkeyesr@ix.netcom.com if you feel you can provide assistance.
Thank you.

What is your (unspecified) "my desktop"? Some kind of computer?
"cannot" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.
'install" how, exactly? Are you trying to use some old/obsolete
"Resource CD"? You might get further if you use a web browser.
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the Setup and User Manuals. Read. Look for
methods which don't rely on anything from any "Resource CD".
