Connecting NetGear Router to Azure VPN [on hold]

Hello Folk's,

Has anyone ever managed to get a commodity router to connect to Azure VPN? I have a NetGear DG3700v2 and want to extend my home network into Azure. I have followed the VPN setup guidelines here but cannot get the connection to work. My router VPN configuration is set up according to the guidelines here and it all seems to match (The need for PFS is still ambiguous to me).

My router VPN config details are:

Remote Endpoint::Address Type: Fixed IP Address (with my Microsoft Azure public IP). I have also tried "Dynamic IP Address"
Remote Endpoint::Address data (Public IP of VPN on Azure)
Remote EndPoint::IKE keep alive: Off
Local LAN::SubNetAddress: 192.168.10.0/24
Remote LAN::SubnetAddress: 10.11.0.0/16 (My Azure VNet)
IKE::Direction: Responder Only
IKE::Exchange Mode: MainMode
IKE::DH Group: Auto (I can select SHA1 only if Direction is both)
IKE::Local Identity Type: WAN IP Address
IKE::Remote Identity Type: IP Address
General Params::Encryption Algorithm: 3DES
General Params::Auth Algorithm: Auto (but can handle SHA1 or MD5)
General Params::Pre-shared key: (my secret 🙂
General Params::SA Lifetime: 28800 seconds
General Params::Enable PFS: Off
I have verified my public IP address is correct and it is not changing. (I can SSH from the Internet into an computer on my network through port forwarding.)

I cannot find a way to get the connection logs out of Azure yet to help me work through this. But the VPN log on my router is blank suggesting nothing is even coming through that looks like a connection request.

Ideas?

Thanks!
