How are you using it now? Did you reset its settings after these

You lost me. "it"? What is this "the main router (Thompson)", and
what, exactly, is connected to what, exactly? Hint 1: Every cable has
two ends. Hint 2: If a device has multiple Ethernet ports, then
"connected to device" is not enough detail.

I meant "it" referring to Netgear not thompson and i was talking about connecting my mobilephone to the Netgear Router Wireless network
, Which takes a long time to acqurie the ip and other times it doesn't connect at all .
