D500 as access point to TP-link

Dear Sir,

I hope I have chosen the right model from the list.
https://www.croma.com/netgear-d500-wi-fi-modem-router-black-/p/187714

I am planning to buy the second router to use as Access Point to my main router which TP-link TD-WD8960N 300Mbps

Can you please tell me can I use Netgear D500 router as an access point to TP-link?

Appreciate your fast response

Practically any router can be configured as an access point,
including the D500.  Some are easier than others to configure as an
access point.  For example, visit http://netgear.com/support , put in
"R7000" as the model number, and look for Documentation.  Get the User
Manual.  Look for "Use the Router as a Wireless Access Point".  Pretty
easy.

Repeat for the D500.  I saw nothing in its User Manual like that.  In
that case, you need to use the works-on-any-router procedure.  One
explanation of that is here (for a C6300, but the principles are the
same for any router):

Any good router should work.  You need to shop around, and see what
you can get for the money you have.  All I'm saying about the D500 is
that it has very few features, and low speed.  And a DSL modem which you
don't need.  I'd expect to find something better for not much money.

Why a D500?  It's slow ("N150"), it includes a DSL modem which you
don't seem to need, it has only two Ethernet ports, and its user
interface does not offer a simple way to configure it as a wireless
access point.

You could probably make it work, but you could probably make almost
any router work, and I'd expect almost any other router to work better.

Because it is cheap. Can you recommend any good router?

I don't want very expensive.

I just want a router that I can use as an access point to my main router TP-Link

Why not look at access points? With fewer features than routers oir modem/routers, you could get more bang for your buck that way.
