D6100 accessing router and parental controls

Hi

have purchased the D6100 router. It does not always allow you to access the router interface. I have been trying to change filtering levels for different devices through the Genie App and the changes are not saving after you click apply. I am running windows 10 and it is up to date, as well as the firmware. Very frustrating...can anyone help??  tia

yes...have tried on three different devices and no luck
