D6200 Question - pre purchase research
I'm researching products before purchasing an ASDL gateway/ dual-band router combo.
My question concerns the built-in media server. I am a software developer and store source code & files on the shared drive connected to my current router.
What I don't want is all of my graphic & video files for my apps to show up when the family is accessing the DLNA server.
From what I can tell from the manual (page 66), there is no way to specify the folders I want the media server to scan. Is this the case or is the manual misleading?
Thanks.

Re: D6200 Question - pre purchase research
The manual is correct. There is no option to only scan certain folders. It will scan all the media files saved on your drive.

Re: D6200 Question - pre purchase research
Is it possible to partition the drive and only have the media server index one partition?

Re: D6200 Question - pre purchase research
I am not sure on the drive if it has option to only broadcast one partition but on the routers end it will scan all the media files on the drive regardless of how many partition it has.
