Not really asking for help here as I know none is forthcoming from netgear - this is to let others know about the problem. 1.0.0.80 and 1.0.0.74/.76 break DNS when using the DHCP server on the router. You cannot set the DNS server for the DHCP options, it is always the router. This is a known issue from previous updates (can't find which version - .72 was the last version that worked). Have had to set up my own DHCP server or you can just set static addresses, gateways, etc for each device.
