D7000 Hardware Problem

Hi,

For 2 years,  modem router Model D7000v2 works perfectly and now have a hardware problem.
I can start the modem router normaly and the with LED are on. (also the Internet Led)
But I have no WIFI signal on my computer.
All attempts to solve the problem with Netgear genius failed.
The Netgear genie does not show a signal for NETGEAR43.
Then I received a picture indicating that I have to connecting the power adapter to the modem router, but the power is already on.
Can you help me? What can I do ??  What is the reasen ??

Re: D7000 Hardware Problem

Hi Willy,

Please check if the 2.4ghz and 5ghz wireless led light is ON located on the top panel of the modem router.  If yes, the wireless router is broadcasting the wireless signal.

On your wireless computer, please locate the wireless key or wireless led indicator to see if the wireless function is enabled.

Re: D7000 Hardware Problem

Hi,

Yes, all Led are on, also 2.4ghz and 5ghz and wireless led light is ON. The wireless function is enabled. After booting the modem router as always all are LED ON.
The Netgear genie show me for NETGEAR43 that I have only a very small signal instead normaly of four lines
And every time the Netgear genie show me a picture that indicating I have to connecting the power adapter to the modem router, but the power is already on.

Now I have the power plug pulled back slightly and restarted.
And my Wifi works again I just do not know how long.
It must be on the power plug.
What can I do???

Willy

Re: D7000 Hardware Problem

Hi Willy,

You may try to use another power adapter to isolate the issue.

Power Supply info:

• North America: 120V, 60 Hz, input

• UK, Australia: 240V, 50 Hz, input

• Europe: 230V, 50 Hz, input

• All regions: 12V @ 3.5A output

If the power supply has a valid warranty, you may contact support for warranty replacement.

Please visit the link to validate the warranty entitlement.

Re: D7000 Hardware Problem

Hi,

Yes, I still have warranty. That's why I brought the D7000 back to the point of sale. They then send the router to Netgear Switzerland.
Thank you for your help  Willy
