D7000[v1] or D7000v2? Look at the product label. Firmware version?

Replace this modem+router with some device (or set of devices) which
works properly? I wouldn't expect Netgear to produce one.

Please report back here if/when you find a good replacement.

My router modem seems to need reset after about 30 days of “ non use “
Do the logs on the modem/router give any clues as to what causes this?
What symptoms prompt this need for a reset?
What firmware version do you have on the device?
A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.
Have you looked into remote management to check on things while you are away?

If your cameras are always on and creating Internet traffic, then "non use" does not seem to apply.
Does your ISP force some sort of scheduled reset? That has come up here in the past.
