D7000 option 61 in Bridge Mode

Hello, this may be a silly question but am I able to use the D7000 is bridge mode and still have the use of Option 61?

D7000[v1] or D7000v2?  Look at the product label.  Firmware version?

I know nothing, but, assuming that "bridge mode" means ADVANCED >
Advanced Administration > Device Mode : Modem (Modem only), and "Option
61" is a (WAN) DHCP option, then I'd guess that the D7000[vX]-as-modem
would neither know nor care about it.  Some router (or other device)
would need to deal with any such higher-level stuff, with the
D7000[vX]-as-modem acting as only a conduit.

Re: D7000 option 61 in Bridge Mode

Hello antinode,
Thanks for your reply.
This is the D7000v2.
I was assuming that with option 61 being DHCP related that it wouldn’t work in Modem only mode.
What I ended up doing was setting the D7000 up with regular default settings so that it would connect to Sky.
Then I assigned my other router (Google WiFi mesh) a static IP address and set that as a DMZ on the D7000.

The main reason I did all of this is because Sky’s modem uses a crappy chipset that causes online multiplayer games to have massive lag spikes.
The modem on the D7000 doesn’t do this but also doesn’t provide strong enough WiFi for my whole house. That’s where the mesh WiFi comes in. Best of both worlds. Everything has been working flawlessly with no lag spikes or buffering on Netflix.

Again thanks for the reply and confirming my suspicions!
