D7800
I have purchased Netgear Nighthawk X4S D7800 to be siwtched to NBN for the first time. I was concerned it won't be compatible with FTTC connection after reading a numer of reviews if it's compatible or not. But it connected without so much issues or much to do.
- Connected the nbn connection device and powered it to and waited for the first solid green lights.
- Then connected my Netgear Nighthawk X4S D7800 and powered it up.
After that all the next steps has become easy to follow.
Model: D7800|Nighthawk X4S – AC2600 WiFi VDSL/ADSL Modem Router

Re: D7800
I’ve also connected to NBN FTTC, as a router successfully. I’m looking at running a more efficient setup where the D7800 operates as a modem and router, and replaces the NBN connection box ( which is a VDSL2 modem). My next step is to hook a computer direct to modem and explore for host settings. I’ll post an update once done with results, I’m being billed by Optus.
