DG834G V4 Firmware update fail.

Hi all, wonder if anyone can help.
Had an old Virgin DG834G v4 router hanging around so thought I would update the firmware to DG834Gv4_V5.01.17.img.
All seemed to be going well, the webpage said 100% but the power light was still blinking red/green so I left it. After about an hour it was still flashing so I unplugged it and reconnected the power. The power light now comes on (green) but I can't gain access to it.
Not on default IP. Even plugged directly into laptop can't get any default gateway to show.
Any ideas???

My DG834G is blinking Power and Tick. Please help. 

Recovery Tool not working. 

TPTF2 not working. 

I can google myself, but experts here should provide help directly. Otherwise everyone will only use google and forum experts will loose job.

Have you tried to do a factory reset on the device? if that dosnt work you may need to contact netgear support the device could be bricked.
