DGN1000b WPA2 Key Reinstallation Attack
Dear Netgear Community,
I am a relative newbie when it comes to IT, so I would be grateful for an answer to my issue.
Key data
- Netgear Router DGN1000b
- DGN1000b not listed in Netgear's advisory above
- Searched all around in the router's firmware - no mention of 'bridge mode'
- Read the router's user manual - no mention of bridge mode
- Latest firmware has been updated (V.1.1.00.49)
Questions:
1. Is the router DGN1000b affected by the WPA2 vulnerability?
2. Does the DGN1000b have a 'bridge mode'?
3. Will a firmware update (patch) be issued for DGN1000b?
I am not an expert in IT, and I would be very grateful for any answers to these questions.
Thank you!
Peter

Re: DGN1000b WPA2 Key Reinstallation Attack
I see no sign af an DGN1000b in the Netgear system.
The newest model in this range, the DGN1000v3, is four years old and unlikely to get serious firmware updates. This was last updated 28th November 2016.
It does have bridge mode, but you can ignore that if you use it as a modem.
