DGND3700 N600 - Wifi speeds difference
Hi
Ive got the DGND3700 N600 ADSL router - very happy with the router now its stable 🙂
Ive got a quick question. Ive set it up for the 5Ghz local Wifi and usually transfer files to and from my external drive networked to the router from my Macbook.
The speeds are great but Ive noticed that copying files FROM the external drive to the Macbook are around 15MB per sec, but copying the same files TO the external drive is more like 10MB per sec. Any reason why the difference in speed depending on the way of the transmission?
Thanks

Re: DGND3700 N600 - Wifi speeds difference
The difference is more likely to be related to the relative read/write performance of the two devices. For example if the network drive does RAID processing that could well slow the writing (but not the reading).
