Re: DGND3700 Wireless N 5ghz speed
Same behavior here. With fw 1.0.0.12 speed goes up to 160 Mbps at 5 GHz, but with 1.0.0.17 I can get only 54 Mbps.
I've been suggested by the support team to downgrade to 1.0.0.12, but I am not sure what other issues are in that old version .
Regards.

Re: GS748Tv4 network saturation
@lgonzalezj, I've gone back to the .12 firmware and have had no "additional" problems. My problem with the 2.4Ghz radio is the same as I described in that thread on this board. The 5Ghz speed and security are as set in the firmware (unlike the .17 firmware). The ADSL connection is rock solid in both the .12 and .17 firmware for me. I think Netgear implemented more problems than they fixed in the .17 firmware!

I am using .17 (well my modified one to be precise) and afraid it works fine @ 5ghz set 'WPA2-PSK (AES)', sitting next to it I get 300.

Re: DGND3700 Wireless N 5ghz speed
This is a but introduced in the last official firmware. I was able to workaround by doing the following.
1: set wireless to tkip + aes.
2: set wireless channels to Any channel in middle of spectrum.
Apply. Reboot.
3: set wireless to aes. Increase speed selectors to 300mbit.
Apply.
Fixed.

Re: DGND3700 Wireless N 5ghz speed
Just had a peruse of the source from .12 and .17 and Netgear have fiddled with quite a few things in the 5Ghz pages (/www/WLG_5g_*) to do with the region/frequency band settings, I guess they flanged the logic up somewhere, which doesn't surprise me judging by their code. If I get even more bored at work I may try and unpick it.
