Hi,

I need to limit the amount of bandwidth/priority my sister gets on her iPad for youtube

Can this be done with the QoS functionality on this router?

I have tried to map all the mac addresses within the home to the QOS interface and then set priorities based on that.

Still doesn't seem to be working ?

Short answer No.


You could setup a priority based on mac addresses, but that only works if two or more are using network at same time. If your goal is to limit usage or set a limit then it won't help.

You can not just choke band with for single domain.

You can only control a "device" with QoS that you tried tried as one. Consumer unit also has less setting for controlling the bandwidth.

Prosafe/Prosecure will allow moire depth of controlling the bandwidth with bandwidth profile
